Royal NZ Signals Regimental Crest
Royal NZ Signals Regt. Crest

I am very proud of my Celtic heritage both Irish and Scottish. I am a Life member of the Pipes & Drums of the Signals Association which was for many years  the Regimental Band of  the Signals Regiment in NZ and I am still very interested in the Pipeband scene in New Zealand. My first parade was in 1957 when I first joined the Auckland Scottish Pipe Band and then continued on when this band amalgamated with the Signals Regiment My Army number was 209337 and in those days we earned the magnificent sum of 1shilling and sixpence per day with a 30 pound gratuity after three years in the Territorials. Great fun!
